SLAP came to us with a powerful idea and brand concept for a media outlet that had its own voice.
They wanted to build a specific brand identity that speaks to a highly niche audience in an authentic and unique manner.
It was clear what their mission was and we made it our core focus to listen and learn about what they wanted to build and why.
The first thing we did was craft a simple yet iconic logo that speaks to their demographic.
We approached the project by digging deep into their core vision of the company and who the audience was.
Although FP didn’t necessarily align with the SLAP vision as we are a politically neutral agency we knew we could connect and empathize with the demographic they wanted to reach.
We felt the design had to be clean, modern and savvy yet also have a bold presence slightly reminiscent of propaganda art.
We also needed to compliment the hero artwork image that would set the tone for the site.
SLAP is just a concept for now and the company is looking for funding through Kickstarter.
They needed a strong and teaser page to show the direction the media outlet project will eventually take.
That’s what we did for them and although it’s just a start we believe the design perfectly captures that direction and we look forward to completing the final project.
